The journey presses on to Mount Sinai, where the scent grazes the earth and lifts a quiet, grounding undertone of patchouli. It arrives finally in Makkah — warmed by the sun, deepened by the heat — where a rich, animalistic musk rises and envelops everything; the very fragrance most beloved by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
