Candle Care
At Fitrah, We want to make sure you have a pleasant experience with burning our candles. Please follow these candle care tips,
- Trim the wick to 1/4 inch between every single burn to prevent soot.
- If it's your first burn, make sure you burn the candle for at least 3-4 hours until the wax fully melts across the container. This will create an event melt pool and prevent the candle from tunnelling.
- Please do not burn the candle in short periods, the optimal duration is between 3-4 hours.
- To ensure a consistent wax consumption, centre the wick in the wax after every use.
- Keep the candle away from drafts (windows, air conditioning vents, etc). Drafts can cause the candle to burn unevenly and can also cause the flame to flicker excessively.
- To maximize the scent throw, burn the candle in small to medium sized room with the doors and windows closed.
- Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This will help prevent overheating and can also help prolong the life of the candle.
- Keep any debris out of the wax pool. Use a spoon or a pair of tweezers to carefully remove any wick trimmings or other debris you see in the wax pool.
- Do not burn the candle all the way down. Leave about 1/4 inch of wax at the bottom of the candle to prevent overheating and to ensure that the candle burns evenly.
- Keep candles in a dry, cold environment. Avoid placing candles in places where they will be exposed to strong sunlight or hot temperatures.
- Always follow the instructions for use and safety provided on the back of our box and underneath the candle.
By following these tips, you can help ensure that your candle burns cleanly and safely, and that it lasts as long as possible.
